Alvernia “Verna” Hebert Mullet entered peacefully into heaven, of natural causes, on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of her first husband, the late Joseph Hebert and her second husband, the late Ernest “Russ” Mullet. Loving mother of Carol Chenevert (Raymond) and Rene Joseph Hebert (Renata). Stepmother of Ernel Robin (Cary) and Cindy Wong (Jimmy). Grandmother of Lester Quarterman Jr. (Dominique) and Brian Quarterman. Step-grandmother of Casey Blondeau (Kenny) and Brandy Anderson (Tony). Great-grandmother of Tripp, Landon and Lane Quarterman. Step-great-grandmother of Andrew, Alexander and Ari. She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of St Bernard Parish for 50 years. She was retired from St Bernard Parish Clerk of Courts. She led a full and happy life. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. The family would like to give a special heartfelt thank you to the many caregivers that helped Verna through the last 20 months. A very special thanks to the Caregivers at Pontchartrain Health Care Center and Harmony Hospice. Verna felt safe and cared for there.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA. on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM.
