Our sincere condolences to Rene, Renata, Carol, Raymond and the rest of the family. We have lost a true gem with the passing of sweet Mrs. Verna. She was always quick with welcoming smile and a loving greeting. " Y'all come on in and have a seat. Do you need something to drink or eat?" The perfect hostess and homemaker. For the past 30 years we have enjoyed the crawfish boils, the naughty Santa gift exchange at Christmas, and the random get togethers. She & Mr. Russ loved their gardening, casino trips and Brewster Burgers. They were quite a couple. Fun loving, entertaining and a joy to be around. It was a blessing to both of them to find love again after losing their former spouses. Losing Mr. Russ broke Mrs. Vernas heart and she was truly never the same. The past 20 months in the nursing home were hard for everyone. It was heartbreaking to watch her slowly slip away. But now she is at peace. Free from pain & confusion, Resting safe in the arms of the savior. And we all have our precious memories to share and reminisce about all the happy times. Fly with the Angels Mrs. Verna. We will miss you.
