So sorry to learn of Mr. Vincent's passing. I have many memories of seeing him in his newspaper reporter posture. He was always friendly and kind. God bless you all.

Dale Curry said it all. Vince came from the school of hard-working newspapermen who still knew how to have a good time doing it. When I became a TP dayside City Desk reporter, he was the weekend editor. He was brisk, yet thorough: worked fast, knew which reporters to send on which stories and when the workload was light, the staff had a lot of fun. Working for Vince was a pleasure. He once gave me an assignment that was a single piece of paper, on which was written: Room 240, Jung Hote l(shows you how long ago it was.) I said, "What's happening at Room 240 at the Jung Hotel?" and Vince said, "You're the reporter, you find out."

Suzanne, I was truly saddened to read of your father's death this morning. I have such fond childhood memories of both he and your mother and all they did with us as we grew up. I hope your memories will help you through this difficult time and bring you many smiles rather than tears. Please know that my thoughts are with you and your family.
Love,
Ida Scanlan Richards

I so enjoyed working with Vince when I was food editor in the features section and he was travel editor. He was always pleasant and jovial. I remember what a pair he and Fritz Harsdorff were, dating back to the 70s when I worked on the States-Item. Such a friendly pair. They never seemed to let the pressures of a daily newspaper get to them. Later, when he wasn't traveling, he was golfing. What a great life!

Thank you for the memories of Vince. He certainly enjoyed all of his TP friends and those who played golf with him.
