Rey Allen Bienvenu, age 84, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Maryann Hosli Bienvenu and the late Sandra Bartholomew. Father of Craig Bienvenu (Gretchen) and the late Keith Bienvenu. Grandfather of Bon Bienvenu.
A native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie. Rey was an active parishioner of St. Angelia Merci. He served in the US Army. He was an avid runner and member of the Slack Track Club. Rey will be remembered for his zest for life, love of family and friends and the city of New Orleans.
The relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation from 11:30 a.m. until service time.
