Merrill “Honey” Serpas Ferguson passed away after a long illness on Sunday evening January 14th, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by her son Geary and her daughters Kelly and Kathleen. She leaves behind three precious granddaughters to cherish her memory: Amanda, Ashley and Sarah. Also survived by six great grandchildren: Mason, Jackson, Alexa, Riley, Logan and Taylor. She also leaves three brothers, Ralph, Robert and Lewis. Predeceased by husband, Samuel R. Ferguson Jr. and sisters Mary and Iris.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 18th, 2018 beginning 11:00 AM at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 PM with graveside services to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
