Viola Mae Blanchard Abadie passed away on May 27, 2017 after a short Illness. Viola was born to Theophile and Enola Blanchard on July 16, 1928. She graduated from Redemptorist High School and married Charles Abadie (deceased) on August 17, 1946 after his discharge from the Navy following World War II. Charles and Viola raised 15 children in the Irish Channel, Chuck Abadie (Chris), Judy Carriere (Bruce), Jack Abadie (Debbie), Janet Gonzalez (Oscar), Dennis Abadie (Angie), Alphonse Abadie (Deceased) (Linette), Michele Abadie, Patti Cooper (Ike), Geralyn Maher (Joe), Betsy Sens (Burnell deceased), Donald Abadie (Christine), Colette Heigle (Kris), Mark Abadie (Andrea), Charlene Vogelaar (Jim) and Joseph Abadie (deceased). Viola was a devoted catholic and the consummate Mother, dedicating her life to raising and educating her children and grand-children. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Blanchard and sister, Gloria Blanchard Abadie and 66 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations to American Diabetes Association preferred.
