Victor Solito

Victor Solito passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the age of 81 after a short battle with lung cancer. Beloved husband of the late Erel Rosemary Crosbie Solito, father of Angela Solito Ulbricht (Greg), stepfather of Michael Trosclair (Michele) and Michele Trosclair Catanzaro (Anthony). Son of the late Josephine Verdi Solito and the late Dominick Solito. Brother of Marie S. Giarratano, the late Daisy S. Scardino, Joseph Solito and the late Jules Solito. Grandfather of Gabrielle, Lauren, Margaret, William and John Thomas Trosclair and Evangeline Ulbricht. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
He proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion. He retired from Tulane University after 29 years of service in the electrical engineering department. During his time at Boeing, he was proud of his mechanical work on the Saturn V rocket for the Apollo 11 mission. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Louis King of France.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, on Friday, May 7, 2021, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a Memorial Mass in the chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery #1. Due to COVID 19 regulations, please follow the current restrictions and everyone attending is required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing.
