Victor Anthony Marsiglia, Jr. passed away peacefully at East Jefferson General Hospital ICU on Monday, February 6th, at 6:45 p.m. at the age of 69.
Vic was born at Baptist Hospital on May 6, 1953, beloved husband of Charlene Marsiglia, son of the late Victor A. Marsiglia Sr. and the late Joycelyn L. Marsiglia. He was brother of the late Glen Marsiglia. He is survived by one aunt, Madeline Polizzi, cousins, Ricky Polizzi (Michelle), Joey Polizzi (Carla), and other cousins and many friends.
Vic went to grammar school at St. Catherine of Siena, keeping in touch with many of his friends over the years.
He attended the high schools, Ridgewood, NOA, and was a graduate of Rummel in 1971.
He went to undergraduate school at Loyola and graduated from Loyola Law School in 1977, which led to his professional career as an attorney for 28 years. Then carrying on his father’s occupation, he moved on to manage Marsiglia Properties, LLC, for the next 20 years.
Vic met Charlene, the love of his life, on a blind date in the year 1990. They were smitten and then were married on July 24, 1993 at St. Rita Church in Harahan. He and Charlene resided in Harahan for the rest of his life. In lieu of flowers, please send Masses. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, at 11:30 am, on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 7100 Jefferson Hwy, Harahan, LA 70123. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and continue until Mass time. Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124 is in charge of arrangements.
