It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tommy Michael Barrett, Sr. on Friday, August 20, 2021 at the age of 63. Son of the late Tunney Barrett, Sr. and Kathleen Heully Barrett. He was the beloved husband of Shirley Klasing Barrett of 46 years. Loving father to Tommy Michael Barrett, Jr. (Randi) and Chad Nicholas Barrett (Aimee). Brother to Tunney Barrett, Jr. (Carolyn) and Timmy Lewis Barrett and an extraordinary grandfather to Alli Nicole Barrett, Rylli Shay Barrett, Camryn Elise Barrett and Chad Noah Barrett.

Tommy retired in 2009 after working as an electrical mechanic for Lockheed Martin for 30 years. After retirement, he and his wife enjoyed working as extras on many film sets and spending lots of time together going to concerts and dinner parties with friends. Tommy was a diehard Saints fan and a season ticket holder where he rarely missed a Saints home game. His grandchildren were his biggest pride and joy. He attended many soccer games, cheerleading competitions, dance recitals, endless events and many birthdays. He was their biggest supporter and cheerleader and a wonderful role model. He taught his family the meaning of unconditional love, loyalty and respect. He was a one of a kind and with eternally be missed.

Tommy is fondly remembered by many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and many good friends.
