Thomas Marshall Starnes, AKA “Tom” and “Tommy”, passed peacefully with his beloved wife Lynn by his side on April 20, 2022, at the age of 62 years old from complications from pneumonia.
Tom graduated from Alfred J. Bonnabel High School Class of 1978 Bruins. He went on to drive a truck for 30 years and retired to become a full time Paw-Paw.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Tony Cleveland Starnes and Martha Pearl Page Starnes, his grandson, Baby Billy James, and his beloved pets in heaven Angel and Bloo.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife Sharon (Lynn) Perilloux Starnes; he is the cherished father of Jessica Landry Alsobrooks (J.W.), Toni Marie Starnes Cook (Robert), Sonya Brown Vucish (Mike), David “Mikey” Troulliet, II, and honorary “Little Tom, Jr., and Bobby Troulliet. He was the proud grandfather of Dixie Rose Alsobrooks, Devin Thomas Starnes, Tyler John Alsobrooks, Thomas Matthew Alsobrooks, and Jesse James Alsobrooks.
Tom enjoyed fishing, hunting, painting, drawing, stamp collecting, leather working, metal forging, camping, doing yard work, shooting targets, watching television; but most of all spending time with his grandchildren
Tom was a kind gentleman that never told his friends “NO”. He would even babysit anyone’s baby, sick or well, change a dirty diaper, give the baby a bottle and rock them to sleep.
Tom volunteered for hurriup.org after hurricanes Maria in October 2017 and hurricane Ida in August and September 2021.
Tom and Lynn fostered two different high school students from Germany for six months each.
Tom will be missed deeply by everyone who knew him.
