Thomas Wayne Jones

   Thomas “Tom” Wayne Jones D.D.S. unexpectedly passed away from natural causes in his home on Thursday, November 26,2020 at the age of 69. Tom was born to Glynne Morgan Jones Jr. and Edith Starvars Jones in Arlington, Virginia. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Glynne and Edith Jones; his sister, Carla Jones; and his nephew, Joshua Bergeron. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Natalie Elizabeth Jones; his life companion of 20 years, Janice M. Catalano; his sister, Valerie Jones-Coats; his nieces Jante Langan, Kristel Plaisance, and Misty Bishop; and his nephew, Johnny Bishop.
   Tom was raised in New Orleans (Terrytown) and attended Archbishop Shaw High School. He was a proud graduate of LSU School of Dentistry and the University of New Orleans. He practiced dentistry and orthodontics in Luling, LA and Metairie, LA for 16 years. Tom found his true life’s calling after Hurricane Katrina. He established his own heating and air conditioning company. He enjoyed it so much that he never gave it the term ‘work’. His clients will remember him for his expertise and honesty. Tom saw no limitations on learning and mastering a variety of skill sets. He used every moment of his spare time learning, repairing his vehicles, and attempting to cook. He was a true ‘do-it-yourselfer’. Tom will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a devoted father, lifelong learner, humorist and teacher.
Thomas Jones was truly one of a kind; he will be missed so much and by so many.
