Stafford G. Juneau, Jr. passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the age of 82. Beloved father of Stafford G. Juneau, III, Wanda Juneau Alleman, Cindy Juneau Gelpi (Michael), Sheila Juneau Celentano (Wayne) and the late Cheryl Ann Juneau and Helene Michelle Juneau. Son of the late Stafford G. Juneau and Carmen Kij Juneau. Beloved brother of Roland B. Juneau (Sandra), Richard Juneau (Barbara), Robert Juneau (Helen), and Joy Ann Juneau Richardson (James). Devoted grandfather to Benjamin Juneau, Nicholas Juneau, Andrea Swift, Ashley Alleman, Emily Alleman, Sarah Gelpi-Hooker, Madelyn Gelpi, Marina Clay, Robin Celentano, Carlie Celentano and Sophia Celentano. Great grandfather to Zoey Juneau. He is also survived by his former wife Victoria Lazaro. Mr. Juneau, a fun and loving father, loved his grandchildren dearly and spent a great deal of their childhoods showering them with love and affection. He was extremely happy to be able to live to meet his first great grandchild. His fun sense of humor and kind ways will be missed.
Mr. Juneau was a retired Telephone Technician with BellSouth (South Central Bell) where he worked for 40 years. He was a member of the Louisiana National Guard from 1956 until 1960. He was also a graduate of Redemptorist High School and a member of its varsity football team.
Our family would like to thank the extraordinary staff of Anderson of Summerfield. Their kindness and compassion was very loving and comforting during Stafford’s long illness.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in the Chapel at 1:00 PM.
