Roy Nicholas Camarata Jr.

Roy Nicholas Camarata, Jr., age 62, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018. Beloved son of the late Roy Camarata, Sr. and Shirley Thompson Camarata. Brother of Patricia C. Areaux. Brother-in-law of Richard J. Areaux. Also survived by other relatives and friends. Roy worked for Maison Blanche in his early years and as a Mail Clerk for UNO. He was a resident of St. Anthony’s Nursing Home in Metairie where he participated in the Amor Ball and served as the current Duke for 2018. He was also a past King. Roy was a kind and loving man who never met a stranger. He was also an avid LSU fan so please wear you LSU attire to the services.
The relatives and friends of the family, also the staff and residents of St. Anthony Nursing Home, are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
