Ralph Harry Persica

Ralph H. "Dude" Persica, age 92 died peacefully at his home in Metairie on Friday, Jan. 8, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Dolores Mancuso Persica and the father of Judy Persica, Joan P. Cino, Jane P. Burst and Randy J. Persica. He was the grandfather of Rebekah Faucheux Perre; Zachary A. and Alexander N. Cino; and Janelle R. Brooks and Brittany E. Brooks, He was the great grandfather of Olivia Grace and Carley Dee Perre and Brady Jude Brooks. He was the brother of the late Lionel A. Persica, Sr, and the late Joseph L. Persica, Jr. He was the son of the late Joseph L. Persica, Sr. and the late Ethel Russo Persica Graff. He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. A native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie for the past 60 years, he worked for many years as a route salesman for Sealtest, Jack’s and Hubigs and later as a manager for Goodman Concrete Pump Trucks and Patton Scaffolding, He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Willowdale Golf Club and later Barrier Golf Club. He served in the local Civil Air Patrol. A graveside service [at 16 Cypress, off of Metairie Rd. between Cypress Walk and Venus Walk] will be held for family members and friends on Thursday, Jan. 14, at 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, 5200 Canal Blvd. The family invites you to share your thoughts, fond memories, and condolences online, at www.greenwoodfh.com .
