Nancy DeMunnick Vicknair

Nancy DeMunnick Vicknair passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Melvin Vicknair; a grandson, Kenneth Joseph Vicknair, Jr.; her parents, Cornelius J. DeMunnick and Victoria Rodriguez DeMunnick; a brother, Cornelius J. DeMunnick, Jr.; and a sister, Violet D. Krecek. Survivors include her three children, Brenda Aucoin (Jimmy), Kenneth J. Vicknair, Sr. (Debbie) and Kevin J. Vicknair (Carol); two granddaughters, Kristen Watson (John) and Lindsey Vicknair (Jes Willett); and a sister, Rosemary D. Miano. Mrs. Vicknair is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends, including best friends Dot, June and Elra.
She was a parishioner of St. Louis King of France for 55 years. She also worked in the voting polls for over 55 years.
Her family is appreciative of the care and loving touch provided by Norte Dame Hospice. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in the chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
