Nancy Hebbler Fortier

Nancy Hebbler Fortier passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 28th, 2021 at the age of 71. She was the devoted wife of Karl Frederick Fortier for over 50 years and the loving mother of Brad Fortier (Kristina), the late Todd Fortier and Christopher Fortier (Leslie). She was the first-born child to the late George P. Hebbler, Sr. and the late Margaret “Peggy” Hebbler and daughter in law to the late Karl F. Fortier, Sr. and the late V.C. Fortier. Nancy is also survived by her siblings Susan Frisard (Joe), George P. Hebbler, Jr. (Linda), Greg Hebbler (Marion) and the late Charles “Ted” Hebbler and her 5 grandchildren, Alyssa, Kate, Bennett, Madison, and Carter and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Todd Fortier, her parents, George P. Hebbler and Peggy Hebbler, and her brother, Ted. Nancy was a lifelong resident of Lakeview and graduated from St. Dominic and Mount Carmel Academy and attended Southeastern University. Nancy spent all of her time with her family and grandchildren nurturing, loving, and attending family trips and every activity they were involved in. She revolved her life around her family. She loved crafts, going on walks, traveling and attended the Brother Martin Christmas Tour with friends every year. Nancy will be deeply missed. The family wishes to thank Dr. Archie L. The Visitation will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 775 Harrison Ave. New Orleans, LA 70124 at 10:00 am with Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 am.
