Michael Anthony James

The family of Michael Anthony James is saddened to announce his passing on Sunday, March 12th, 2023 at the young age of 63. He was surrounded by the love of his family and is now at eternal peace with the Lord. Michael was born to Patricia Cambre James and Lawrence James Jr. on July 28, 1959 and resided in Kenner most of his life. He attended Bonnabel High School and Delgado Community College. Michael was a dedicated employee of Avondale Shipyard for many years. His hobbies included cooking and hosting parties for family and friends. He was a beloved father to daughter, Cherie Mosbey (Jason) and a devoted Paw-Paw to grandchildren, Lily and Gavin. He shares many memories with wife, Tammy James. He was a loving brother to sister, Joanne Brennan. He also leaves behind his loved Aunt, Betty Bacon. He was a proud Godfather to Jared, Jacob, Tiffany and Tony (along with nephew Jules) plus numerous cousins. He lived an adventurous life and was loved by so many. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans on Monday, March 20th, 2023. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am with a chapel service at 1:00 pm. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. A celebration of Life Reception will immediately follow.
