Michael Raymond Brown

Michael Raymond Brown, 68, of Metairie, LA, passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family on August 8, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Michael “Brownie” Brown, was the son of Robert and Helen Brown, and the loving husband of Katherine “Kat” McCarron Brown. Michael is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard Brown. He is survived by his mother-in-law, Katherine “Minnie” McCarron, his son Christopher Charles Brown, his daughter-in-law, Ashley Charbonnet-Brown, and his grandchild, Amabelle Story Charbonnet Brown. He is also survived by his special sister-in-law Carolyn Ostendorf and his nephew Matthew Ostendorf.
Michael was an entrepreneur and business owner, starting two businesses, Security Supply Incorporated in 1991, and Security Pro Warehouse in 2000. Michael was also a beloved DJ, passionately sharing his love of music with many friends and family members. He also loved fishing, barbecuing, his puppy Archie, and his country house Tanglewood. He will be greatly missed by his family and countless friends. Donations may be made in his memory to the Sal J. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA. on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
