Meredith Yvonne Richoux

July 12, 1982 ~ December 9, 2018 (age 36) 36 Years Old

Tribute

Meredith Yvonne Richoux, Our beloved “M” passed away at age 36 on December 9, 2018. She is survived by her devoted companion Marcelle “Tim” Krivjanick, her parents, Dr. Richard Richoux and Mrs. Maureen Richoux of New Orleans, her brother, Bryan J. Richoux (Jennifer) of Winter Garden, Florida and many many other loving relatives.
Meredith was a New Orleans girl to her core. She loved brass bands, fine food, boating and fishing on Lake Pontchartrain with Tim, the Saints, and Mardi Gras. Her Endymion parties at her Dad’s office and her Saints parties were legendary. Many restaurants knew her as the woman who always said she was full but “just wanted to see the dessert menu” following which, everyone ended up with dessert.
Meredith’s love for New Orleans was exceeded only by her love for people, particularly her family. All who knew her as a friend would vouch for her love and loyalty. (you know who you are). She lived in the same house from birth until she died there, moving away only long enough to attend and graduate from Furman University in 2004. She practiced as a R.N. for almost 10 years at Ochsner Baptist Hospital, most recently in the ICU and had just undertaken a part time career in real estate. Meredith and Tim established Crabby M in 2015 and sold their metal and reclaimed wood creations at markets throughout New Orleans.
Meredith’s life epitomized what it means to be in harmony with others. Her kindness, sense of humor, and zest for life earned her eternal membership in that exclusive club of THOSE WHO WILL BE REMEMBERED FONDLY BY ALL WHO KNEW THEM.
A celebration of Meredith’s life will be held on January 5, 2019. All are welcome to worship with us at the 4p.m. Vigil Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, 610 6th St., Gretna, LA. The choir will be singing in her honor. A celebration of her life will be held at 6 p.m. at a location to be announced.
