Mary Elizabeth Tribou

Mary Elizabeth “Becky” Tribou, was born October 4th, 1925 in the old homestead in Merryville , LA as one Jessie Arcene and Minnie Pearl Eaves brood of 10. She was affectionately known as Becky by most but also Lizzie by her siblings. After graduating high school, employment led her to post WWII NOLA and the love of her life Robert. They went on to have 5 children. She peacefully left us on February 28, 2021.
She was a devoted Saints fan, proudly an original Who Dat Fan Club Member, a ferocious player of Scrabble and Perquackey who firmly believed in the health benefits of her daily bourbon and water toddy and an amazingingly strong capable and determined mother, granny and great granny.
Preceded in death by her beloved Robert, daughters Carol and Linda (Bruce) and granddaughter Kimberly. She is survived by daughters Evelyn (Charles), Robin (David), son John (Lauren) and her son-in-law Larry (Alice). Her brother Robert, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and numerous much- loved nieces and nephews.
Due to covid19 Private Services will be held at Greenwood Funeral Home on Friday, March 5, 2021, visitation from 12 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. with graveside Services to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Passages Hospice. Online guestbook at www.greenwoodfh.com
