Mary Ganci Floyd

Mary Ganci Floyd passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the age of 86. She was born in New Orleans on July 9, 1931 and was a longtime resident of Kenner. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry “Jim” Floyd. Daughter of the late Peter and Maria Ganci, sister of the late Rosalie Couch (Frank LaBarbera Sr. by first marriage and Jack Couch by second marriage) and Sam Ganci and aunt to the late Mary and Larry Schmitt. She is survived by her sister-in-law Jenny Ganci, nieces Santa Coleman (Joe), Dolores Maggio (Brent), Debbie Shiplett (Rene) and Charlene Gagnet (Ben), nephew Frank La Barbera, Jr and by many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Also survived by her step-children Bobby Floyd (Sue), Linda Floyd (Joe Burke), Frank Floyd, step-grandchildren Jennifer Gautro (Corey), Patrick Burke and great-step-grandchildren Ella and Grayson.
Thanks to all her family and friends for caring and keeping in touch with her, also all the masses and prayers sent in her behalf. A special thanks to “Tee” Battistella for the wonderful care she gave to Mary during her illness.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
