Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Cecilia; and her brother Dave Stiebing. .
Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Ronald G. Pomet Sr.; and is the cherished mother of Ronald "Ronnie" Pomet Jr. (Toniann), Lori Pomet Sanford, Stephen Pomet (Kellee) and Jamie Pomet Campbell. She is the proud grandmother of Joseph "Joey" Sanford Jr. (Courtney), Joshua Sanford (Jessica), Matthew Pomet, Mitchell Pomet, Lauren Pomet, Zachary "Zack" Pomet, Christopher "Bubba" Campbell Jr., and Emily Campbell; 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Merle Whitlock and Joann Windhorst; and two brothers, Joseph "Boo" Stiebing Jr. Rodney Stiebing.
Marilyn was a native to New Orleans and later resided with her family in River Ridge for 50 years. She was a beautiful, giving woman who loved people and who would talk to anyone. She possessed a strong and vibrant spirit and a quick wit and sharp mind with a splash a sass. She loved life, her husband, and her family immensely, but she loved her grandkids the most!
Marilyn and Ronald celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this past February. As husband and wife, they taught their children love, loyalty and commitment. Her faith was rock solid. They did life side by side for a lifetime and Ronald was devoted, at her side, holding her hand as she entered her eternal life. Her children rest assured knowing she made quite an entrance up above, probably pointing her finger (directing everyone) with her other hand on her hip. Marilyn was one of a kind and greatly loved by many! We will miss her dearly.
