Marie Coralie Bourgeois Madary

Marie Coralie (Mickey) Bourgeois Madary passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 26, 20l8. Beloved wife of William George (Bill) Madary ll for the past 69 years. Loving mother to William lll (Gerrie), Mark, Cynthia Blanco, Pamela Hancock (Jeff), Elizabeth, Marie Toepfer (Glenn), Stephanie Turnage (Ray Young), Stephen (Lori), Theresa Pereira (Burton), Damian (Danette) and Matthew. She was preceded in death by her parents Leonce and Marie Coralie Bourgeois, her brothers and sisters, Evelyn, Dolores, Audrey, Leonce (Buddy), Louise, Stella and John, her daughter Suzanne Parker and granddaughter Jennifer Parker Kenney.
Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers she loved. Her influence will forever remain in the lives of her grandchildren; Gregory Parker, Melissa Parker-Schruff, Madel Madary Ketterer, Christina Blanco, Brianne Wilson, Kelly Dunn Canas, Leonard Randall Dunn, Jodi Toepfer Powell, Jamie Toepfer Lopiccolo, Jude, Justin, Jeremy and Jill Toepfer, Candice Turnage Calamari, Cassandra Turnage Watts, David Turnage, Lindsey Madary Wild, Andrew Madary, Burton, Joshua and Chase Pereira, Jacob, Jade and Grayson Madary, Nadia and Victoria Madary and 31 great grandchildren.
Mickey lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures and spending time with family. She nourished people around her not only with her cooking but with her love and strong faith in God. She had a generous heart and loving smile always putting others first. Her home and heart were open to everyone.
She leaves to mourn her sister in law and brother in law Doris and Lester Kennedy, her sister in law Betty Bourgeois, and her loving dog, Winston. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The Madary family would like to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to Wanda for her loving care to "Momma" for the past five years. Special thanks to Janet for being so attentive to her needs and to caregivers Mentha and Stephanie.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd. New Orleans, La. 70124, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
