Margie Savoie Boe was a native New Orleanean and the second youngest of 9 sisters. She passed away peacefully this week at 96 years of age. She was a remarkable mother, grandmother; great grandmother, friend, and she left a long legacy of love and laughter. She enjoyed sharing the love of her bromeliad plants and good food with all. She was survived by her 3 children and their spouses Linda and Carl Ernst. Arthur III and Sindy Boe, and Keith and Debbie Boe. Her 6 grandchildren and their spouses Erik and Shannon Ernst, Ashley and Joel Matthews, Michelle Bridges, Jay and Stacy Boe, Jessica and Casey Duhe, and Jacob Boe and Angela Jones. Her 9 great grandchildren include Julia Ernst, Jackie, Chris, and Kate Matthews, Ryan Bridges, Jax and Bella Boe, and Cullen Duhe, and Nathan Boe. Her family would like for all family and friends to join them for a celebration of life this Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Greenwood Funeral Home at 5200 Canal Blvd. in New Orleans. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. with a Mass at 1:00 P.M. In honor of Margie the family is asking that you wear something colorful to join in this celebration as these were Margie’s wishes.
