Louis Minvielle Lambremont, born July 23, 1943, in New Orleans, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 21 in St. Marys, Georgia.
Louis was one of eight children born to Lawrence and Mary Marsh Lambremont. He was a devout Catholic with a very kind and tender heart and a sense of humor and quick wit that kept his sons and their families entertained. His sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Lou attended Southeastern Louisiana College where he met the love of his life, Freddie Anne Groh. They were married for 54 years, sharing great fun and companionship. He loved reading, taking long walks and gardening with Freddie, eating good New Orleans cuisine, golfing and being with family.
Lou was an executive with Sea-Land, which became CSX and then Maersk Line Limited. He retired in 2005 and was a resident of St. Marys, Georgia for the past 15 years. He enjoyed retirement and said so every day. Lou is survived by his wife, sons Louis Jr. (Erin) and Jack (Marie), grandchildren Katie, Elizabeth, John and Olivia, siblings Larry (Sharon), Ruth Lorio (George) JoAnn Gleason, Clara Therio, Olivia Parsons and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings Howard and Bertha Lambremont.
