Lawrence Earl Schwall II (Larry), owner of Larry’s Electric, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the age of 76 years. Larry was the former Chief Electrical Inspector for the City of Harahan and Past President of International Association of Electrical Inspectors of Louisiana. He assisted and volunteered for many community organizations. Larry was a loving and helpful friend to many involved in his life and served in the U.S. Navy.
Beloved husband of the late Rose Sullivan Schwall. Father of Darlene S Gassen, Lawrence E. Schwall III (Kim), Thomas W. Schwall and Louis A. Schwall (Shannon). Son of the late Doris M Cheatham and Woodrow W. Schwall. Stepson of Thomas (Marzine) Cheatham. Brother of Thomas (Bubba) Cheatham (the late Theresa) and Arthur Westbrook (Betty). Grandfather of Jessica B. McBride, Kayla S. Cusachs (Joey), Lawrence E. Schwall IV, Mason Schwall, Chandler Schwall, Jessica Gassen and the late Thomas Schwall, Jr. Great-grandfather of Asher Cusachs, Kayden Head and C. J. Head. Preceded in death by his son-in-law Chris Gassen.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Catholic Memorial Service at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124 on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
