Lawrence P. Bourgeois, Jr., age 94, died at his home in Pearl River, LA., surrounded by his loving family on January 12, 2023, after a long illness. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Margaret E. Stiller, his parents Juliette and Lawrence Bourgeois, Sr., his brother Adolph, and his grandson Anthony Carbone, Jr. Lawrence is survived by his 4 children and their spouses; Lawrence (Lorraine), Brenda Carbone Peralta (Tony), Wayne (Gwen), Glenn (Tammy); his siblings Irving (Kathleen), Laigj (Mary), Gloria Duvieilh (late Camtle/Johnny), Joyce Woods (late Robert) and Gerald (Judy); his grandchildren Kristina (Catherine), Bryan (Caley), Brandon and Gillian and his great granddaughter Fallon (Tyler); and his extended family. Lawrence was born on January 11, 1929 in New Orleans, to parents Juliette and Lawrence. Bourgeois, Sr. Lawrence married the late Margaret E. Stiller at St Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in 1951. They were married for 39 years until her passing 1990. They had 4 children together. He worked as a machinist at Jackson Brewery and a diesel mechanic at American Marine Shipyard. He enjoyed photography, riding his bike, traveling and going to the gym. He was a member of St Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pearl River, LA. He will be missed by his family and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124.
