June Lay Walton

June Lay Walton, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Beloved wife of the late John P. Walton, Sr. Loving mother of Candace Mary Manders (the late Robert Manders, Sr.) , John P. Walton, Jr. (Karen Fisette) and the late Christopher Jude Walton. Grandmother of Robert Paul Manders. She graduated from Dominican College and became an elementary school teacher, who taught at Holy Rosary, Sacred Heart, St. James Major and other catholic and public schools for over 30 years. A native and lifelong resident of this city.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
