Josephine Giuffre Metzler

Josephine Giuffre Metzler, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the age of 87 years. Beloved mother of Judy Tedesco Fogarty and John Tedesco Jr (Beverly). Survived by grandchildren John Tedesco III (Helen), Bradley Tedesco (Lara) Matthew Fogarty, Shannon Fogarty, Kelly Hudson (John); and great-grandchildren Marcella, Mia and Grayson Tedesco and Ellie Hudson. Preceded in death, her mother Jennie Calamusa Giuffre and father Carlo Giuffre, sisters Angelina Montalbano and Marie Foster, brother Vincent Giuffre and lifelong partner Gene Duley. Josephine loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and especially with her great-grandchildren. Josephine was a member of the Power Squadron, loved to square dance, round dance and travel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124 on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. The interment will be private.
