Joseph Salvadore Scaffidi

Joseph Salvadore Scaffidi peacefully departed this life on January 24, 2023 at home surrounded by his family at the age of 94.
Born January 17, 1929, Joe was a native of New Orleans, LA, a resident of Metairie, LA for the past 60 years and longtime parishioner of St. Louis King of France Church Parish. He will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 60 years Joycelyn, sons Joey (Lisa) and David (Lyn), grandchildren Kaylyn Crowson (Clint), Kyle (Abigail), Elizabeth, Matt, and Caroline, great granddaughter Clare Crowson, nieces Dr. Elizabeth McDonald and Diane McDonald Hudson (Jerry), and great niece Elise McDonald. He was preceded in death by parents Rose Riso Scaffidi and Natale Scaffidi, brother Anthony and sister Marie Scaffidi McDonald.
Joe worked at D.H. Holmes and was later employed by Texaco where he retired after 35 years of service. He loved to ride his bike, to dance, and to go crabbing. He enjoyed playing softball and basketball in the CAA and Petroleum leagues. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday, January 30, 2023 at St. Louis King of France Church, 1609 Carrollton Avenue, Metairie, LA.
