Joseph G. Hartman, Jr.

Joseph G. Hartman, Jr. passed away Friday, September 17, 2021, at age 82. He was born in New Orleans, LA and resided in Metairie, LA for most of his life. Former husband of Jude Boylan. Brother of Ronald E. Hartman, Sr. (Isabel) and the late Raymond J. Hartman (Catherine). Son of the late Myrtle Costello and Joseph G. Hartman. Loving uncle to Julie Crist (Ralph), Ronald E. Hartman, Jr. (Jessica), Laura Altman (Douglas), Travis Hartman (Allison) and Brett Hartman (Rachael). Great-uncle to Angela, Mary Ellen, Amanda and Renee Crist; Jessica DeSalvo (David); Conner Mackin; Tyler, Marian, Mateo, Matthew and Olivia Hartman. The latest addition to his family, Paxton DeSalvo, has never met Uncle Joe. Many Christmas celebrations were spent with nieces and nephews.
Joe was especially proud of three things: his 1955 Plymouth, his family, and being an usher at St. Francis Xavier Church in Metairie, Father Joe Palermo served him well during illness and at his final hour.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 444 Metairie Road, Metairie, on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, starting at 1:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Mass at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your desired charity. Due to COVID 19 regulations, please follow the current restrictions and everyone attending is required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing.
