I can remember fondly and vividly, spending Thanksgiving and Easter and other Fortenberry occasions with both our families. Fella had a dry wit and clever humor. I feel confident he is enjoying his eternal life in heaven with our Lord, relatives and friends that have gone before him.
Our days on earth are short. It is our afterlife that is the real living. The gift of Christmas is the birth of our Savior. His sacrifice of Himself for each one of us is a mystery and a miracle, which allows us citizenship in Heaven. Receiving the Gift is our most important choice of our earthly life. I am thankful to God we are not judged by our works. This knowledge gives me comfort in this imperfect world. I pray y’all also take comfort in this Gift. (John 3:16, John 16:33, Psalm 23)
I am scheduled to work on Friday, if I am not at the service, know I am keeping you all in prayer.
Godspeed,
Karen

Cousins Ann, Mary and Angela, we would like to extend our warmest sympathy to you and the rest of the family. I will always remember Fella from family gatherings and adventures with Uncle Louis. He was a great cousin, witty ,humorous. and fum. He now is in the blessed warm embrace of God,

I just read about the recent death of John and I know you, Jessica and the Fortenberry family and loved ones have saddened hearts today. So I wanted to share beautiful scripture where our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18), promises us that he is going to do away with man's greatest enemy, death. Rev. 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises, including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25) I pray you will find comfort reading the above scriptures in your personal Bible and to please watch this short, faith strengthening video:

May you rest in the peace of the Lord. I remember all the crazy days we had hanging out at Tastee Spot with the gang
