John Eric Hane Jr.

John Eric Hane, Jr. was born on April 13, 1938, in New Orleans to John E. Hane, Sr. and Armantine Steele Hane, both of whom preceded him in death. John entered eternal rest on April 27, 2021 at the age of 83. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Patricia Manzella Hane and their five beautiful children, Roxanne Hane Magaw (Ed), Eric J. Hane (Kay), Michele Hane Polizzi (Joey), Mark J. Hane (Kelly), and Shannon Hane Kelly (Brian). In addition to his children, John also leaves to cherish precious memories twelve grandchildren, Dana Magaw Kaseta, Molly Hane Shotwell, Katy Hane, Johnny Polizzi, Brent Polizzi, Melissa Polizzi, Joey Moran, Laura Hane, Albert Hane, Paige Kelly, Renee Kelly, and Sean Kelly. Also two great-grandchildren Addie and Colt Kaseta. In addition to his parents, John was also preceded in death by five siblings, Antoinette Modica, Henry Punzo, Julie Pasciak, Paul Punzo and Violet Bell. He worked at Sc Johnson & Sons Inc. as a District Manager, and he retired after 35 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Thursday, May 6, 2021, starting at 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in the Chapel at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery following the Mass.
