James Damon Tyler

On Saturday, April 9, 2022 the world lost one of the good guys. James Tyler passed away from complications related to a hemorrhagic stroke at the age of 44.

Despite his tall stature and broad shoulders, James was one of the kindest and gentlest souls to those he met. He loved reading, anime and Science Fiction. James also had a gift of knowing the answers to off the wall trivia questions.

James was survived by his young daughter, Abigail. Abigail was not only the apple of his eye, but she was also his best friend. James was a wonderful and involved father who passed on his love of art and anime to Abby. He was also survived by his wife Wendie, his uncle Jerry Moomau, and siblings Candace Donlin, George Moomau and Cassie Moomau. James was also loved by countless other family members, friends and co-workers at the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff’s Department.
