James Patrick Ryan, Sr.

James Patrick Ryan, Sr. passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Joan Ryan for 61 years. Father of James L. Ryan, James P. Ryan, Jr. (Olivemae), Michael E. Ryan (Tiffany) and the late Regina Marie Ryan. Brother of JoAnn Colleur, Orlena McLain and the late Patricia Masters. Son of the late James L. Ryan and Verabelle L. Ryan. Grandfather of Ron Doiron, Jr., Zachary P. Ryan, Sierra T. Ryan, Jersey A. Ryan, Alexandrea V. Ryan, Hunter W. Ryan and the late Adele A. Calecas. Great grandfather of Riley, Delilah and Bailey. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews all from Michigan.
As a veteran of the United States Navy, Mr. Ryan served his country proudly and served on the U.S.S. Salish.
Relatives and friends, also employees of Magic Seasonings Blend and Dixie Produce are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, starting at 9:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
