Isabel Prechter Davis

Isabel Prechter Davis a long term resident of Metairie was born on December 2, 1925 and died peacefully on July 12, 2018 at Metairie Healthcare. Isabel was a graduate of St. Catherine and Mount Carmel Academy. She was a member of Les Girls, original member of Parents Club at Chapelle High School and a member of Golden Age in Metairie. Isabel enjoyed traveling with her husband and visiting casinos. She loved and was proud of her family, always wanting to help others. She was beloved by all and will be greatly missed. Isabel was preceded in death by her husband, Allan T. Davis, Sr.; her parents, William J. Prechter and Isabel Christie Prechter; and her brother, William G. Prechter. Survivors include her children, Allan T. Davis, Jr. of Metairie, LA and Rebecca Cole (Michael) of Washington State; three grandchildren, Michael Cole, Jr. (Beth), Patrick T. Cole and Christine M. Cole; and one great granddaughter, Lily Cole all of Washington State; one sister, Geraldine Dennison; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relations in the Metairie area.
Relatives and friends, also employees of VA Medical Center are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in the Chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities, 1000 Howard Ave., Suite 200, New Orleans, LA 70113 or to the charity of your choice.
