Idabel Ingolia Palmer

Idabel Theresa Ingolia Palmer, born December 28, 1927 to the late John Paul Ingolia and the late Theresa Luperella, joined her Heavenly Father on September 19, 2022. She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana. Idabel is survived by her three children, Patti Glenn (Walter), Sharon Piazza, and Michael Palmer (Vicki). She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Shannon Smith (Jeff), Jennifer Rahn (Adam), Nickolas Piazza, Kaitlin Riggs (Charles) and Benjamin Piazza and also her great grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Kathryn Smith, Ellison Riggs and Parker Riggs. Idabel enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid LSU and Saints fan. Idabel was a life-long Catholic and a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice Specialist of Louisiana for their care and compassion in her final days. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at Greenwood Funeral Home at 5200 Canal Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am with a Mass to follow at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Burial will be immediately following the Funeral Mass at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Hospice Specialists of Louisiana.
