Holly Swope Ethridge

Holly Marie Swope Ethridge, 35, passed away on June 25th, 2020 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Holly was born September 28th, 1984 in Birmingham Al. to her parents Barry and Marcia Swope. She also lived in Daphne, Al where she completed Elementary and High School. Holly graduated from Capps College in Mobile, Al in 2005, and was certified as a Medical Assistant. She married Thomas Edwin Ethridge of Hattiesburg, MS in 2007, and the marriage produced one child, Cheyenne Marie Ethridge.
Holly was preceded in death by her grandparents Doris Knight Wood, Harold L. Wood, and Walter B Swope. She was survived by her Grandmother Donna Swope Wood, Father and Mother Barry S. Swope, and Marcia W. Swope of Daphne, Al.
Her sister Kimberly Swope Swearingen (Dane), her daughter Cheyenne Marie Ethridge of Hattiesburg Ms. and her daughter Braelynn Olivia Swope. Holly has a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to list.
In her life Holly was one of the most accepting and forgiving people you could know. She made friends everywhere she went, and never met a person that she rejected. Her mother always said that she had a “heart of gold.” She called herself a Daddy’s girl to the day she left this earth. She never wavered from the love she had for her children, her friends, and her family.
A memorial service will be held on July 19th at 2:00PM at a private residence in Spanish Fort Al. Due to concerns of COVID19, attendance is limited to immediate family only.
