So sorry for the families loss. She was my teacher in the 1990’s and I have great memories of her class. I still use Spanish almost daily thanks to her.

My Aunt Gloria was and will forever be an example of what every human should aspire to be.
She was kind, thoughtful, measured, diligent, loyal, honest, caring and most of all, a gentle-loving soul.
She was every bit her mothers daughter, and that is the best compliment I could ever give a person in this world.

I first met Gloria when I worked at the New Orleans Tourist Commission in the early 1970's. She was a force to be contended with there, and everyone was on their best behavior when Gloria was around. I later got to know her in a totally different way through my friendship with her sister, Cindy. I still remember how incredulous I was when I discovered that Cindy's sister was THE Gloria Salcedo! She was a beautiful, intelligent, strong, charming woman who will be greatly missed, but whom we can all admire for a life well lived.
