Gloria Ann Palmisano

Gloria Ann Palmisano entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the age of 67. A native and lifelong resident of Harahan, LA. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Claire “Tiny” Rummel Palmisano and Peter Joseph Palmisano, Sr.; her brother, Donald James Palmisano (surviving wife, Jennifer); and longtime companion, Harry Carmouche. Gloria is survived by her siblings, Rosalie Palmisano (David “Hoss” Bennett), Peter Joseph Palmisano, Jr. (Alice), and Claire P. Guilbeau (Audie); and a host of nieces and nephews. She retired from the Jefferson Parish School System where she taught at Jefferson Elementary for 33 years. She had a passion for Mardi Gras, was a member of The Party Down Carnival Club, and Ain’t Misbehavin’ Social Club. She enjoyed socializing with her Dinner Belle’s Ladies and playing Bonco with her friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, starting at 9:00 AM, followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
