Gerland Lorraine Bullock entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 25, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Harry Bullock, Sr. and Evelyn Lorraine Dixon Bullock. She was the mother of one devoted daughter, Shannon L. Bullock, beloved sister of Stephanie Bullock Brown; loving aunt of Troy Lynn Bullock-Lo and Chanel Brown, sister-in-law of Claude Brown and Ruby Bullock. Also survived by a host of other relatives, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, brother Harry Bullock, Jr., and other relatives. Relatives and friends of the family, members of Louisa Street Church of Christ and neighboring congregations; members of Eastland Church of Christ in Fort Worth, Texas and area congregations; current and former faculty, staff, students and parents of Robert R. Moton Charter School, Orleans Parish School System, Archdiocese of New Orleans; employees of New Orleans Job Corps, Texas Comptroller’s Office, Houston Independent School District, AmeriCorps and Sigma Environmental Solutions, Inc.; Alumni of Alcorn State University, George Washington Carver Senior High School Class of 1969 and members of the National Pan-Hellenic Council are invited to attend the services at Louisa Street Church of Christ, 3644 Louisa Street, New Orleans, LA 70126, Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Preston Olive, Minister.
