Esther Mae Ferretti Lingoni passed away peacefully on December 29, 2020, at age 86, in her daughter’s home after a long illness. Wife of the late Royce Raymond Lingoni, mother of Brenda Ann Lingoni Woodin (Mark Charles) and the late John Royce and Robert Anthony Lingoni. Loving grandmother of Jennifer, Jessica, and Janelle Lingoni and Christian Dean Woodin. Great grandmother of Sierra Nicholson, Brayden and Briealla Lasley and Benson Metzler. The third child of the late Anthony John Ferretti, Sr. and Victorine Newell Ferretti Rozier, dear sister of the late Louise Ferretti Klumpp and the late Deacon Anthony “Tony” John Ferretti, Jr., and aunt to her beloved nephews Joseph and John Klumpp. Esther was born and raised in the French Quarter with her young life steeped in Catholic Italian traditions. She attended St. Louis Cathedral school and enjoyed playing various sports at St. Mary’s Italian Church. Independent from a young age, she worked at Escalante’s, Bryce Dressel Distributors and was the retired owner of Fisherman’s Seafood House. Brenda is grateful to the many friends and family who kept Esther wonderfully engaged while watching LSU and Saints games over the years, especially Jeanie Dragon, Blair and Eve Wolfe, Sara Woodin and Madison Wulff, along with Peter Sferidis and his endless birthday celebrations for her. Special thanks to Lesley Lapeze, Lynne Leonard, Laminda Pilie and the entire Duplantier family for always being so supportive. The family greatly appreciates the loving care given to Esther by Anvoi Hospice and Dr. Scott Sonnier at Touro Oncology.
