Elean Skipper Ragan

Mrs. Elean Skipper Ragan, 95, of Metairie, LA passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2021 at Touro Infirmary Hospital in New Orleans, LA. Mrs. Ragan was born August 5, 1926, a daughter of the late Della McDaniel and Arthur Benjamin Skipper of Mullins, SC. She was married to the late Francis Avery Ragan. She was a homemaker and devoted her time to caring for her family, church and community. Mrs. Ragan was a life time member of the Lois Eastern Star in South Carolina. She had a passion for flowers that was a true gift and could grow absolutely anything. She was loved by all and greatly missed. Surviving are her son, Avery Ragan (Glynis) of Destrehan, LA; grandchildren Kelli Franklin (Brian) of Loomis, CA, Trey Ragan (Sarah) of New Orleans, LA; great grandchildren, Aidan, Benjamin, Samuel and her sister Winnie Lucas of Florence, SC. Graveside services will be held at Devotion Gardens in Mullins, SC. Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124 is in charge of arrangements.
