Elaine Rodi Baltz

Elaine Rodi Baltz, age 99, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2020. She was preceded in death by the love of her life John Peter Baltz, Jr.; her parents Joseph Edwin Rodi and Estelle Bussy Rodi; sister Marie Rodi David. A life long resident of Lakeview which she considered that the most heavenly place on earth. Elaine enjoyed a most wonderful childhood growing up in Lakeview, climbing chinaball trees and making mud pies. She also liked making pop guns and picking blackberries. She met Johnny on May 23, 1939 at a high school dance and spent many dates dancing on the riverboat “President”. They were married November 26, 1940 at St. Stephen Church.

Elaine is survived by her two loving children Barbara Baltz Morere and John Frederick Baltz; grandchildren Marshal Morere (Stephanie), Bret Baltz, Jacob Baltz (Natalie) and Lainey Margavio (Todd); nine Great Grandchildren and two Great-Great Grandchildren. Elaine was very thankful for her family and St. Dominic Church. The family would like to extend a special thanks the staff at Peristyle Residence (Lake Louise) for their dedication, support and compassionate care.

A Catholic Graveside service will be held at Noon, Thursday, September 10, 2020 at St. Louis #3. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Elaine Rodi Baltz to be made to the charity of your choice.
