Dwight “Whitey” William Taylor entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the age of 53. He passed away peacefully at his Luling home from a heart condition. Beloved husband of Marife Carin Taylor and loving father of Isaac Joseph Taylor. Dwight was preceded in death by his father Joseph W. Taylor, mother Caroline Taylor, stepmother Demetra “Mitsy” C. Taylor, sister Jolee Kimble and brother Donald Taylor. He is survived by his brother David Taylor (Lisa), brother Edwin “Mike” Rich and sister Jilane Mince (Billy). Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dwight spent his career on various platforms offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. During his time on land he ran his own pressure washing business.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Saturday, November 4, 2017, starting at 1:30 PM, followed by a Memorial Mass in the Chapel at 2:00 PM. A celebration of life will follow the Memorial Mass in the Boulevard Room at Greenwood Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
