Donald John Lemonier Sr.

Donald John Lemonier Sr Age 90 passed away Wednesday September 8, 2021 at his home. Donald was born on 12/14/1930 to Leah and Ferdinand Lemonier. He is the brother of the late Frances L. Gautreaux and Byron Lemonier. He graduated from Redemptorist High School in 1947 and shortly after joined the U.S. Navy where he proudly served from 1947-1951 and was honorably discharged. He received the China Service Medal, the Navy Occupation Medal and Korean Service Medal. He served on the USS Boxer CV-21 - Fighter Squadron VF-191. Donald worked for Don Randon Real Estate until his retirement.
Donald was the former husband to Mary Carolyn Wegmann Lemonier(deceased) with whom he had 2 children, Donald John Lemonier Jr(deceased) (Denise) and Lori Lemonier Adams (John).
Two grandchildren, Emily Quinn Lemonier and Megan Taylor Adams.
Donald married Gwen Lemonier 7/4/2000 and was stepfather to Jan Tregre Labiche (Franck), Will Tregre (Donna) and Glenn Tregre. He was step grandfather/poppy to Adrienne, Lily, Cameron and Carson.
He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends that loved him dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Private interment in Westlawn Cemetery.
