Dennis Joseph Persica passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the age of 67. Beloved husband of the late Tina Maria Bevis Persica. Father of Simon Charles Persica and Gena Darce Persica. Son of the late Lionel Anthony Persica and Mary Rose Mancuso Persica. Brother of Lionel Persica, Jr. (Vickie), Anne Persica Morel (David) and Michael Persica. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Mr. Persica served as a journalist and editor for several local news organizations, including Guide Newspapers, The Times-Picayune, The New Orleans Advocate, and The Lens. He was a graduate of Martin Behrman High School and the University of New Orleans.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 PM. Interment will be private.
