Dear Persica Family:
My deepest sympathy and sorrow for your lost. I remember Dennis well because Lonny and I were good friends. Dennis was always Jovial, and very intelligent. We played a lot of cards together, and share jokes. I really can' t believe he passed. I did not expect it..Dennis and his family will be in my prayers. He will be missed by all.
Blessing to all his family.

Dennis & I went to St. Julian Eymard in Algiers together thru eighth grade. He was a great guy and we were best buddies in 8th grade. We had nuns for teachers back then. I remember one time we got in trouble for something stupid and the nun broke a yardstick over our heads, then she cried because we broke her yardstick. We went to different high schools and somehow lost touch. That is something a greatly regret. My deepest condolences, looking at the beautiful video, I am sure that he had a wonderful life, an incredible family, and was very much loved. Be sure that your family is in our hearts and our prayers. Rest in peace buddy.

I am so saddened by this news. Dennis knew my mother and my first wife, Johanna Schindler, years before I knew him. The two of us were not only co-workers but neighbors as well. His keen appreciation of history and music were a common interest and the start of many an interesting conversation. You will be missed.

Dear family of Dennis,
I am among so many of his former colleagues at the Times-Picayune who were shocked and saddened when we learned of his death. Dennis was quite respected, admired and, yes, loved by all who knew him. My sister Debbie Hingle went to St. Joseph's Academy with Tina, and in the vague recesses of my memory, I recall having dinner with Debbie and her husband Jules, on a night they had invited Tina and Dennis. He leaves a big hole in so many hearts, and I know yours are broken. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,
Darlene Olivo
