Daniel "Danny" Joseph Trosclair, Jr.

Daniel “Danny” Joseph Trosclair, Jr., passed away peacefully on May 8th , 2019 surrounded by his family at the age of 59. He’s survived by his beloved wife, Robin Mitchell Trosclair for 35 years; Son, Andrew Scott Trosclair; Brother, David Michael Trosclair; Sisters, Elizabeth L. Trosclair and Jean M. Rivet (Edward); Nieces, Shelly Marasi, Corry Marasi, Caryl Hebert (Joey), Alexis Trosclair, Deven Trosclair, and Alyson Teachworth
(Jordan); and Nephew, Blake Evans.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Joseph Trosclair, Sr. and Betty Carrington Trosclair; son, Marc Daniel Trosclair; and sister, Vicki Ann Trosclair.
When Danny and Robin met in Metairie, LA, it was love at first sight. They married in Hawaii and lived a full life of love, joy and happiness. New Orleans was their home forever even though they lived many other places. They have been living in Katy, TX since Danny was transferred with Chevron in 2012 before he retired.
Danny was a big time College Football fan. Go Green Wave! Roll Tide! You knew where he was every weekend. If he wasn’t watching football, he was dabbling with all of his hobbies: Model Airplanes, Lionel Trains, Motorized boats and cars and just about anything he could build. He loved being with his son Andrew. Whether it was Soccer, Movies, Guitar Center, or the D Day Museum, they always had a great time. And he loved to eat; Robin was always cooking his favorites.
Danny was a history buff as well as a true Rock and Roller. Music was everything and everywhere. He was a big collector of vinyl, guitars and sound systems. Robin and Andrew loved it as well. They jammed all the time. They have been all over the world. If they weren’t travelling, they were entertaining. Family and Friends were always welcomed and they hosted many memorable events including holidays, birthdays, and any other reason to get together. He will be missed so much, but his music will live on. Danny was a member of the Archbishop Shaw Alumni and Chevron Retirees Association.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Private burial with immediate family. There will be a Celebration of Life Reception at the Metairie Country Club, 580 Woodvine Ave., Metairie following funeral service.
