Clarice B. Matranga

Clarice Brignaudy Matranga Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother age 83, was welcomed into the loving arms of our Savior on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. She is survived by her husband of 69 years Joseph J. Matranga Jr., her daughter Cindy Matranga, Grandchildren Joseph J. Matranga IV (Stephanie), Jaclyn Matranga Boyle (Jason), Carrie Lopez Dore (Jared), 10 beautiful great-grandchildren, and her nephews John Fury (Cindi) and Manuel Fury (Tracey) . She was preceded in death by her parents Clarice Carrie and Manuel Brignaudy, her son Joseph J. Matranga III, her grandson Joshua L. Matranga, as well as her sister Mathilda Fury and brother-in-law John Fury Sr.
Clarice worked for Gold Seal Creamery demonstrating their dairy products in grocery stores across the New Orleans area, she was the Pommac soft drink spokesperson for New Orleans, as well as the Banquet Manager for the Bounty Restaurant.
Clarice’s love for her family was everything. She was a fantastic cook and delighted in feeding her family. Her grandchildren were the most important things in her life, taking care of them and loving them was her greatest blessing. Clarice loved to garden, feed the birds and homeless animals in the neighborhood. Clarice lived most of her life in Metairie and enjoyed travel, seeing a great deal of the United States as well as Europe.
